Bloom Early Learning Centre Malvern East is a double-storey childcare centre delivering a 150 place early learning facility for children aged 0–6 years. The project includes the adaptive reuse of an existing church hall, integrated with a new contemporary building to form a cohesive and functional early childhood education environment.
Designed to support play-based learning, the design emphasises natural light, strong indoor-outdoor connections, and engagement with the natural environment. The childcare centre is arranged as two distinct built forms connected by a central outdoor play space. The ground-floor incorporates on-site parking and playrooms, while the first floor accommodates the centre’s offices as well as a dedicated playroom with direct access to an elevated outdoor play area.
