Located in the heart of Craigieburn, the Aitken Hill Community Centre is an integrated community facility designed to support the needs of a growing and diverse population. The new centre provides inclusive, accessible and adaptable spaces that foster connection and wellbeing across all stages of life.
The building incorporates a 66-place preschool and 33-place licensed care, alongside maternal and child health consulting rooms, visiting allied health services, and a variety of multipurpose community rooms. These community spaces include a range of flexible configurations — from small meeting rooms to larger function rooms — supported by a semi-industrial kitchen to host a wide variety of programs, workshops and events.
Designed as a hub for local engagement, the centre offers modern, purpose-built facilities that promote lifelong learning, early years development, and community health. The architectural expression reflects a welcoming civic presence while ensuring long-term flexibility and durability.
Through thoughtful siting and planning, the Aitken Hill Community Centre strengthens local networks by providing a place for residents to connect, participate and thrive.
