Bella Wiyn Birralee Family Centre is a vibrant community facility named after the local Wadawurrung language for “Bellarine Children,” reflecting its warm, child-focused design.

Built on a greenfield site, the centre integrates long daycare, kindergarten, Maternal and Child Health consulting, counselling offices, and a toy library within adaptive spaces that respond to community needs. A commercial kitchen and large multipurpose room support classes, gatherings, and meetings.

The two-storey design maximises natural light, with playful colour zoning and extensive landscaping enhancing learning, play and wellbeing. Large undercover verandahs ensure all-weather play. Achieving 5-Star Green Star design accreditation, the centre exemplifies sustainable, inclusive community design.
