The Botanica Springs Children's and Community Centre has been built to meet the needs of the fast-growing Melton municipality. The state of the art facility features three 33-place Kindergartens, occasional care for up to 33 children, maternal health facilities, professional offices and community space.
The facility includes many environmentally sustainable design features such as Solar assisted gas fired solar hot water, a 20kW Solar panel array capable of generating the majority of the building’s power needs, advanced, energy efficient glazing with all external windows and glazed doors being double glazed and a 15,000 ltr rainwater tank which collects the rainfall from the roof for re-use in the landscape irrigation and toilet flushing.
