The Jindi Family and Community Centre opened in 2015 in a new Mernda subdivision for the City of Whittlesea. The new facility incorporates a 99 place preschool, community and maternal child health services.

A steel pergola form clearly identifies the entry to the building which has a robust materials pallet of brickwork and timber lining boards. A series of fins project through the roof line to admit daylight to the interior of the building.
